Make Tie-Dye T-Shirts Together:

For the creative types that are always looking for the next project, making tie-dye or hand-painted shirts is a great way to spend some time together with your child. You don’t have to be creative or have a lot of arts and crafts skills to pull this off; there is an abundance of how-to’s ad tutorials out there to show you how to do this. You and your child may wear these often or hardly ever wear them, but it is the process in making them that’s fun.

WMTDS (What Makes This Date Special):

Any date idea that allows you to be creative together is special, especially if you make a shirt that one or both of you will wear in the future to remind the two of you of your time together.

Teachable Moments:

Arts and crafts.

Following instructions.

Pinterest or Google will allow you to find countless varieties of what you can do with this time with your child. If you wanted to and thought your family would enjoy it, you could make shirts for an upcoming trip or family reunion or just for your family to enjoy.

If this kind of idea isn’t your cup of tea, and for a lot of people it isn’t, you can work with a local t-shirt creator in your town and have them help you come up with a design and have a few t-shirts printed for a small fee.

A great way to spend time with kids is to make tie-dye t-shirts together

If you are making tie-dye t-shirts at home yourself, this is a very inexpensive way to spend time with your child. All you would need are a couple of plain white t-shirts that you can probably order or pick-up for a few dollars and then the materials for the tie-dye.

No advance planning needed unless you want to have the t-shirts ordered or purchased before your time together to make them.
