Have a Spa Evening At Home:
Creating a spa day at home is a great way to spend a relaxing evening together for your date. You may not have the budget for a day at the spa, but you can do a spa evening at home for a fraction of the usual cost. Spend as little or as much on the evening as you want – it’s up to you. Either way, you’re in for a much-needed break.
I’ve found that this is a perfect date for moms and daughters. This date can also work for dads and daughters by bringing a spa professional into your home. It may even become something you can incorporate into your family long-term. Depending on your child’s age and the parent-child scenario, there are many ways to make this an appropriate and special evening.
Here are some things to try:
WMTDS (What Makes This Date Special):
We all have busy lives – depending on your children’s ages, their lives are probably just as busy as yours. Most of us don’t take enough time to pour into our own lives or health. Setting aside time for this date is a great way to teach your child about the need for self-care. It also allows time for good conversation. You can choose to pamper your child, showing them love in a unique way.
There’s great value in teaching that we can and should take care of ourselves.
You can also teach that often you can spend far less money and still achieve near-professional results.
There are multiple variations with this date. You and your daughter may both take part in the spa evening, or you could provide the services to pamper her. Another option, if you have money available, is to hire a professional to provide the services in your home.
There are low-cost ways of creating a spa evening at home. It is even possible to create this evening with items you already have, making this a free date. Beyond that, you can spend just a little and enjoy many spa services for a fraction of the usual cost.
Before your date, I recommend deciding which services you want and plan, so you have the needed materials and tools for your evening. The more details you plan, the more relaxing your evening will be. I would also prepare your home – or a room in your home – by cleaning it beforehand so that the environment is as relaxing as possible. I also suggest having new polish colors, lotions, flowers, soft music playing, candles burning, and relaxing food and drinks prepared. It may be extra work, but it’ll be worth the effort during your spa time.
